What is Scam With Your Friends?
Scam With Your Friends is a first-person co-op job simulator built around a fictional scam call centre in Kolkata. One to eight players share a floor of desks, headsets and beat-up PCs, then take turns talking to callers who answer in real time. Instead of scripted dialogue trees, the callers are driven by a live language model, so what you actually say shapes how the conversation goes.
Live AI Callers
Callers are generated in real time rather than read from a script, so your wording, tone and pacing decide where a conversation goes.
Victim Computers
A full second gameplay line: remote into the target machine, collect the details a scheme needs, and close the session before you leave the desk.
Shared Co-op Shifts
Up to eight players work the same daily quota and the same performance review, so covering a weak spot pays for the whole crew.
Workshop & Mods
Steam Workshop callers, JSON personality files and WAV voice cloning let the community author the people who call you.
Each workday is a run: you expand your scam arsenal, work toward a daily quota, and answer to a boss who does not take excuses. Between calls you remotely log into victim machines to dig up the personal details you need, while scambaiters, computer viruses, police raids and even air strikes try to wreck the shift. The office itself is deliberately chaotic, and progression is run-based, so a bad day can wipe a run.

Office Hazards & Counters
The four hazards that quietly eat your working day, plus the office chaos that never announces itself.
Scambaiters
Counter: Recognise the pushback and end the call

Counter: Identify the device first — laptops were patched
Police raids
Counter: Keep producing and lean on your buffer
Air strikes
Counter: Rebank the quota before the review closes
Office chaos
Counter: Assign and rotate a tidy-up role

Co-op Lobby Basics
How a crew actually gets into the same office: lobby size, join methods, filters and the role split that keeps the quota moving.
Lobby size
Practical Use: Two or three already cover phone and hacking; eight adds redundancy
Join by code
Practical Use: Fastest route for a crew already talking outside the game
Public lobby filters
Practical Use: Prevents silent connection failures from build mismatches
Invites and voice setup
Practical Use: Two minutes of setup avoids the most avoidable co-op failure
Role split
Practical Use: Shared quota means covering a gap pays for everyone
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I start Scam With Your Friends?+
Play your first shift solo so the loop is easy to read: answer a call, hold the conversation, and watch the quota counter. Learn the desk, test your microphone, and find the typed dialogue fallback before you join a lobby. Once you can hold a conversation without losing the counter, a co-op crew becomes a multiplier instead of a source of confusion.
Is there a best scam format in the game?+
There is no single best format, because the right choice depends on how much working day is left and how much preparation your crew has done. Fast formats are correct when the quota is close and time is short, while slower formats that depend on gathered details are only worth their minutes once the day already has a buffer banked behind it.
Why do the callers sound strange at first?+
The higher-quality voices come from a Qwen3 text-to-speech package that the game downloads from the main menu, and until it finishes you are hearing a rougher fallback. Non-English callers also depend on that same package, so let the download complete before judging voice quality or assuming a language is unsupported.
How do I get into the victim computer?+
You open it from your desk during a shift; it is a second work surface rather than a separate mode. Browse straight to the details the active scheme asks for, remember that password recovery prompts appear in the caller's own language, and finish before you stand up, because the game now closes the session automatically and asks for privacy confirmation.
How many players can join a lobby?+
Lobbies support between one and eight players. Smaller crews can already split the phone and the victim machines, while a full lobby provides the redundancy to keep working through a raid, a virus or a missing prop. Sort public lobbies by version first, because a build mismatch stops a join from completing at all.
Do I need extra tools to install mods?+
No. Steam Workshop support is built into the game, so installing a caller means subscribing through the Workshop rather than managing files manually. Creating content is equally accessible: custom callers are defined in plain JSON personality files and voices arrive as WAV files, with no third-party tooling between an idea and a working caller.
Why is there a delay before callers reply?+
A short delay is expected, because speech recognition has to interpret what you said and the response is generated online. Hotfix 2 reduced the speech recognition delay and false music captions but did not remove the round trip. If replies go missing entirely rather than arriving late, suspect your connection, server capacity or an inaccurate system clock instead of your microphone.

Learn the schemes, keep your crew off the boss's radar, and turn a chaotic workday into a clean quota. Every guide is built from what the game and its patch notes actually document.
